ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif expressed high hopes from mobile technology and he wished to see some revolutionary changes in IT, education, agriculture and economic sector of Pakistan, media reported.
PM expressed these views with Ishaq Dar, Pakistan Finance Minister, and Anusha Rehman, Information Technology Minister.
Dar and Rahman were briefing the PM about recent auction of 3G and 4G technology.
Dar also told PM that this new technology will create one million job opportunities in Pakistan.
Zong, a Pakistani cellular company, has won 10 Mega Hertz (Mhz) and 18 Mhz spectrums of 3g and 4g licences respectively.
While Ufone and Telenor got licenses of 4 Mhz band and Mobilink grabbed 21 Mhz band including license of 10 Mhz band of 3g.
PM applauded the efforts of Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and Ministry of Technology for the fine auctioning process.
