FAISALABAD: Various government departments in the Pakistan’s industrial city, Faisalabad, faced severe action from the local administration via electricity closure over non-payment of dues worth millions.
Strong move was taken against governmental electricity defaulters as administration cut power supply lines of nine governmental departments in Faisalabad, the third largest metropolis of Pakistan located in Punjab province.
The overdue government departments which received consequences include District Jail, District Road and Building, Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), TNA Jaranwala, TMA Lyallpur Town, local media reported.
It should be mentioned that Punjab govt had taken various prominent steps to counter electricity theft in the province by taking actions on domestic and commercial sectors during last few months  in order to end energy crisis.
