Lahore: Newly elected chief of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, Siraj ul Haq has termed the dialogue process between the government and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) as ‘need of the hour’, adding that it will be succeeded if the government and the Army remain on same page.
Talking to media at JI headquarter in Mansoora, Siraj-ul-Haq said that the TTP can increase the ceasefire but government has to show seriousness regarding the dialogue process as it can change the future of Pakistan.
He supported the demand of TTP regarding a free zone in tribal areas of Pakistan as they can move from one place to another during dialogue process.
He said that there were so many powers who did not want a successful dialogue process as they has some hidden motives, adding that government has to start another round of dialogue if it was failed to achieve the goals during the dialogue process.
He said that it was their achievement that the government and the TTP leadership have initiated dialogue directly.
Siraj ul Haq said that economic activities have been inproving gradually, adding that foreign investors have agreed to invest in the country.
