Islamabad: Supreme Court of Pakistan (SC) on Thursday has taken serious notice regarding the ambiguous media reports regarding the auction of 3G and 4G licenses.
A three-member bench headed by Justice Jawwad S Khuwaja has taken the notice during the hearing of USF funds case.
The court ordered media not to give any news based on wrong information which may harm the auction process.
The order has come after the complaint by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), Ismail Shah during yesterday’s hearing.
He told the apex court that the media misreported the event which might badly affect the auction process.
He further informed the court that it was expected to get $1.3billion from the auction as all the bidders had already submitted 15% of the token amount
