ISLAMABAD: Opposition parties in the senate have decided to present amendment in the Senate rule of 61 aimed at to bound Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to attend senate session for at least one time in a week.
The opposition parties have taken the move on continuous absence of PM from the senate sessions.
Opposition viewed that after taking oath as PM, Nawaz Sharif did not attend any single session of the senate.
They were of the view that in Britain, prime minister answerable in zero hour of parliamentary session.
Mutahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) senator Tahir Mashhadi will present the amendment in the rule 61 of senate.
According to proposed amendment, rule of zero hour of the senate will be changed into Prime Minister’s hour.
