Washington: As HTC unveiled its flagship device HTC One (M8), now company is eyeing to unveil its flagship Mini device HTC One (M8) Mini as HTC One M8 Ace leaked.
The rumor mill now turns to another HTC device, as a yet-to-be-announced HTC One M8 Ace has leaked online.
Previous rumors have indicated that an HTC One M8 Mini was in the works, but it remains unclear at this point whether the M8 Mini and the M8 Ace are one and the same device.
The latest leak comes from well-known tipster @evleaks, who has posted a photo of this purported HTC One M8 Ace, but offered no other details otherwise. If it’s not the smaller version of the flagship, it may be another variant of the HTC One M8.
The current trend prompts increasingly more smartphone makers to launch a flagship smartphone and release various spinoffs afterward, including a smaller version with a lower price and generally some watered-down specifications.
HTC joined this trend last year, when it released its HTC One (M7) flagship smartphone and then launched both an HTC One Mini and an HTC One Max. If the company decides to follow the same strategy this year with its latest flagship, we could soon see an HTC One M8 Mini, as well as an HTC One M8 Max phablet.
The name of this purported HTC One M8 Ace clearly suggests that it will launch as a spinoff of the flagship, but nothing is for certain at this point. Evleaks has proved to be accurate countless times in the past with various leaks of unannounced devices or plans in the tech world, but the source’s credibility does not guarantee a 100 percent accuracy.
If this device is indeed slated to debut soon, however, more information regarding its specs and upcoming launch will likely surface shortly. We’ll keep an eye out and update you as soon as we learn more about this purported HTC One M8 Ace smartphone, so stay tuned.
