ISLAMABAD: A parliamentary committee which was formed to hold an inquiry into Jamshed Dasti’s allegations of immoral activities, dance parties and use of liquor at the Parliament Lodges did not provide Dasti’s proofs as enough to support his claims.
Dasti had stunned fellow parliamentarians in late February when he alleged that liquor worth millions of rupees was supplied in the parliament lodges.
Girls are brought to the lodges; Dasti alleged and claimed to have video evidence.
The committee headed by Rohail Asghar met in Islamabad to discuss the issue.
Asghar said that Jamsed Dasti had failed to prove his allegation before the said parliamentary committee.
“We also recorded the statement of MNA Irfan Dogar, IB and police officials,” he explained.
He said that the committee would make its recommendations to ensure foolproof security at the Parliament Lodges.
