ISLAMABAD: Due to construction work for extension and beautification of the Haram Sharif, as many as 20% less people will perform the Hajj this year from Pakistan and elsewhere from the Muslim world.
At least 1,43,368 fortunate pilgrims from Pakistan will perform the Hajj this year.
According to Ministry of Religious Affairs Hajj, 20% Hajj quota of Pakistan had been reduced due to extension construction work at Haram Sharif by Saudi government last year.
This year, as many as 86,684 people from private Hajj schemes while 56,684 people from government scheme will perform Hajj this year.
