KARACHI: Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Memon Saturday dispelled the impression that the provincial government was patronizing criminals in Karachi.
“We have nothing to do with crimes or criminals,” Memon said in a media statement.
He said Rangers have been given a free hand to conduct raids at will.
“There would have been no operation in Karachi if the Sindh government had opposed it,” he explained. “We have not demanded the release of any suspect.”
He added that all expenses of the ongoing operation in Karachi were being paid by the Sindh government.
