KARACHI: The Sindh Governmnet has been in action since media has highlighted the situation in Thar. In new wave of changes, the provincial government has dismissed two key personnel and appointed a new face to deal with the catastrophic drought in Tharparkar.
On Tuesday, Makhdoom Jameel-uz-Zaman, Provincial Minister for Relief and Revenue, and Lala Fazl-ur-Rahman, Releif Commissioner, have been dismissed due to their poor performance in Thar, according to various media reports.
The new face to enter ‘Relief and Revenue’ department is Taj Haider, senior PPP leader, who has been appointed as the advisor to the Sindh Chief Minister.
Taj Haider has also been given the responsibility of relief and revenue.
