KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) said that the total liquid foreign reserves of the country stand at dollars 8.737 billion.
According to SBP’s weekly statement here on Thursday , the foreign reserves held by State Bank on Feb. 28, 2014 amounted $ 3,920.7 million and the net foreign reserves held by banks other than SBP were $ 4,816.3 million.
During the week, SBP’s liquid foreign reserves increased by $ 50 million to $ 3,921 million compared to $ 3,871 million in the previous week.
The increase in the Central Bank’s reserves is attributed to receipts of $ 74 million from multilateral, bilateral and other official sources.
Over the period, the total official payments were $ 24 million, said SBP.
