PESHAWAR: The Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) Minister of Health and Information, Shaukat Yousafzai, has said that they are ready for assistance of Taliban office opening in the province in order to step forward for peace establishment in the country.
KPK minister Shaukat Ali Yousafzai was addressing a press conference in Peshawar, the provincial capital of KPK, today during anti-polio campaign; said that they are ready to play role in peace establishment.
Yousafzai reteirated that assistance would be provided to Taliban for an office opening in the province as they offered before but faced severe criticism from many political circles.
‘KPK government wishes a health and polio-free society; and significant steps in this regards has been presented before all. We have taken over polio disease but controlling terrorism is out of our reach.’, he said.
He urged for successfulness of ongoing negotiation process; said that it is necessary to make dialogues successful for maintaining peace, hence federal authorities and Taliban militants should exhibit responsible behaviour and seriousness.
Earlier on October 19, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan demanded the federal government for permitting Taliban militants’ office in Pakistan.
