KARACHI: Even high-level government officials cannot claim to be safe in the metropolis of Pakistan despite having security protocol as Advisor to CM Sindh, Sharmila Farooqi’s official vehicle snatched by unidentified men in Karachi today.
Unidentified persons equipped with weapons have snatched Sharmila Farooqi’s vehicle (GS-833) present at famous shopping street Bahardurabad, local media reported.
Sharmila Farooqi was not present in her vehicle as she went inside to the shopping mall while the incident took place within premises of New Town police station.
Higher authorities of police department have released directions for the searching out and immediate recovery of the government vehicle.
The prominent politician, Sharmila Farooqi, belonging to second largest elected political party of the country, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and currently working as Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Cultural and Tourism department.
