ISLAMABAD: The judicial committee tasked to complete inquiry of the district court attack has been halted for development following orders of the Chief Justice Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wendesday (today).
The Chief Justice Islamabad High Court (IHC) Justice Anwar Kasi has halted the judicial committee from inquiry of the Islamabad district court attack till the Supreme court ruling on the issue.
According to the statement issued by the IHC, the Supreme Court has already been taken suo moto notice of the unfortunate incident, therefore the propriety precedent and law demands that till the finalization of the proceedings of the apex court, the inquiry proceeding initiated by the IHC may be halted.
The committee shall start its proceedings in the light of the directions issued by the Supreme Court, statement says adding that till the verdict of SC the proceeding of the inquiry committee shall remained dormant.
It is worth mentioning here that Chief Justice IHC Anwar Kasi had formed committee comprising Justice Shaukat Aziz Siddiqui and Registrar of IHC Meeran Jan Kakar.
