Islamabad: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Nabeel Gabol on Wednesday has demanded to impose emergency in the country to improve law and order situation.
During a meeting of Standing Committee on Defence, he demanded the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to impose emergency as per Article 232 of the constitution.
Gabol reacted aggressively over the ongoing dialogue process with the Taliban and said it should be halted.
He said that the Taliban was not ready to stop terror activities in the country and government should stop the dialogue process and initiate military operation against the terrorists.
He said that the MQM did not an emergency like November 3 but wanted to improve peaceful atmosphere in the country.
Whereas Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) rejected the demand during the meeting.
