LAHORE: The Pakistan’s Punjab government has taken rapid and prominent action on Tuesday (today) against six lawmen on failing to stop kite flying in different areas of Lahore, the provincial capital of Punjab.
Chief Minister Punjab, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday took a serious notice of kite flying in Lahore and suspended four Station Head Officers (SHOs) and transferred two Deputy Superintendent Police (DSPs).
Shahbaz Sharif set up a special cell for complaints against the kite flying as numerous complaints were receiving from the past few days against kite flying in different areas of Lahore and two people were also injured during the kite flying.
The Chief Minister suspended DSP Mughalpura and DSP Badami Bagh and four SHOs which include Hussain Malik from Mughalpura, Shabir Awan from Shalimar,Ghulam Abbas from Barki and Mohammad Ishfaq from Badami Bagh.
Chief Minister said that they no one is above the law and stern action would be taken not only against the people and but also the local police if incidents of kite flying found while breaking the laws.
