ISLAMABAD – Government of Pakistan has dissolved Pakistan Cricket Board’s governing board and PCB Chairman Zaka Ashraf has also been dismissed from his post on Monday, media reported.
According to reports, 11-member interim committee has been formed, including former PCB chairman Najam Sethi, to look after cricket board’s working and issues.
On the other hand, Zaka Ashraf said that he is still the chairman of PCB as he has not received any notification from the Government.
And he further added, the government has amended only one article of constitution. Right now, Pakistan cricket is going through a rough time and this decision is very sad.
Choudary Zaka Ashraf started his tenure as PCB chairman on 27 October 2011 but he was dismissed from his post in July 2013 by Justice Shoukat Aziz Siddique.
Zaka Ashraf got his position back on 15 January 2014 on the judgment of two-membered bench, comprising of Justice Riaz Ahmed Khan and Justice Noor ul Haq Qureshi.
