Islamabad: Kashmir Solidarity Day is being observed throughout Pakistan, besides rest of the world to show solidarity with the Kashmiri people while all the arrangements have been finalized regarding this.
President Mamnoon Hussain and Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in their messages on the occasion have reiterated that Pakistan is firmly committed to its principled stance on Jammu and Kashmir.
The President said observance of the day every year is a reaffirmation of our moral‚ political and diplomatic support towards our Kashmiri brethren in their just struggle for fundamental rights including the right to self-determination.
The Prime Minister said Pakistan will continue playing its constructive role towards peaceful solution of the Kashmir dispute.
He reaffirmed to stand by Kashmiri brothers and sisters in their valiant struggle for their just cause.
Special programs would be telecast from various channels and one minute silence would be observed as the sign of solidarity with Kashmiri brothers.
Rallies would be carried out in Pakistan while meetings and seminars also have been organized by the various religious and political parties.
Observing of this day means renewal of the pledge to provide all-out moral, political and diplomatic support to their legitimate right to self-determination being denied by India for the last 64 years by keeping Held Kashmir under unlawful and forcible occupation.
All necessary arrangements have been finalised to observe the day with traditional zeal and fervour, and with the renewal of the Kashmiris affirm resolve to continue their struggle for liberation of their motherland from the Indian yoke in order to reach their ultimate destination – Pakistan, through the accession of entire J&K state to this country under the spirit of the historic July 19, 1947 resolution, unanimously passed in the meeting of All Jammu Kashmir Muslim Conference in Srinagar.
It would be a public holiday throughout the country and in Azad Kashmir to show solidarity with the Kashmiris living under the subjugation of India.
Kashmiris too observe the solidarity day every year not only to renew their deep-rooted love and affection for Pakistan but also to reiterate their commitment to get their freedom from the Indian occupation.
