ISLAMABAD – Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) will not be part of current negotiations with Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), told Maulana Fazl ur Rahman in a press conference.
Maulana Fazl ur Rahman was upset because the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif did not consult his party before taking decisions on the current series of dialogues with TTP.
Another issue that Maulana had was complete negligence of “Tribal Grand Jirga” which was accepted by all religious and political parties of Pakistan.
He said that none of the terms and conditions decided by the Tribal Grand Jirga were respected in the current scenario.
Although JUI-F has formally separated itself from current negotiations with Taliban, it will help and support the Government in hour of need.
The party prays for successful negotiations but believes that the chances are low.
Mufti Kafayatullah, JUI-F member, was named as the member of TTP negotiation team but now he will withdraw as his party is no more part of on going dialogues.
Earlier in the day, Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaaf chairman Imran Khan has also separated itself from the TTP negotiation team.
Political parties who were in favor of dialogues are suddenly withdrawing from their respective roles, first it was PTI and now JUI-F.
