KARACHI: Senior Sindh minister for education Nisar Khuhro has said that the stage made for the launching ceremony of upcoming Sindh Festival would not damage the ruins of Mohenjo Daro.
While talking to media here in Sindh Assembly, he said how could those who are proud of heritage damage the site. “If an event can be organised inside Kot Diji Fort, it can also be organised in Mohenjo Daro.”
The minister further added that the audience’s passage could be kept in such a way that it does not hurt the ruins.
The opening ceremony of Sindh Festival would be held on February 1 at Mohenjo Daro, while the closing ceremony has been scheduled on February 15 at Keenjhar Lake, Thatta.
