Makkah:The governor Makkah, Prince Mishaal bin Abdullah and Pakistan’s Federal Minister for Religious Affairs Sardar Mohammed Yousaf discussed matters pertaining to Haj 2014 and various facilities for the Pakistani pilgrims.
The minister was accompanied by Ambassador Mohammed Naeem Khan, Consul General Aftab Khokher, Director General of Haj Syed Ahmad Abu Akif, Press Consul Sohail Ali Khan and Director of Haj Rafeo Shah.
The governor, who warmly received the minster and his accompanying delegation in his office here on yesterday, invited the minister and the ambassador to offer proposals and suggestions that would facilitate the stay of Pakistani pilgrims in Makkah.Â
The governor underlined the importance of strategic relations between Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
The minister conveyed the greetings of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to the governor which were warmly reciprocated.
During the meeting, matters of mutual interest were discussed.The minister extended an invitation to the governor to visit Pakistan, which he promised to do at the first available opportunity.
Sardar Mohammed Yousaf referred to the special attachment and reverence of Pakistanis for Saudi Arabia and especially for Makkah and Madinah.
The minister requested the governor to look into the issue of Pakistani nationals in prisons and deportation camp. The governor promised to look into the matter positively.
The governor assured his cooperation. He praised the Pakistani community in Makkah, and said that Pakistani professionals’ commitment and dedication to their duty was worthy of praise.
