AUCKLAND: Indian spinner cum batsman Ravindra Jadeja has tied the third One-Day International (ODI) after giving an outstanding performance against New Zealand at Eden Park here on Saturday.
Kiwi’s batsmen had set the massive 315 runs of decisive target to chase for Indian batsmen in 50 overs.
On New Zealand side, opener Martin Guptill made a fruitful century for team and Kane Williamson scored 65 runs of half-century.
Indian spinner Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets giving 47 runs in his 10 overs.
Indian replied start aggressively, opener Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma scored 64 runs partnership but both players lost him wickets one after another.
After fallen of opener wickets, Indian middle-order became an under pressure and lost two more important wickets of Virat Kohli and Ajinkya Rahane on crucial time of the match.
In the end of the match, Indian played very well and Jadeja tied the match hitting 17 runs in the last over of Corey Anderson.
Kiwi all-rounder Anderson gave a best performance in bowling and took five wickets giving 63 runs in his 10 overs.
Ravindra Jadeja got the ‘Man of the Match’ for his all-round show. He picked up 2/47 and made 66 off 45 balls.
Indian skipper Ms. Dhoni said that he think we batted well, but if supposed to pick situations, where we could have closed the game comprehensively, those were the situations we did not grab.
