NEW DELHI: The World’s social networking giant, Facebook, has initiated its new feature ‘Trending Stories’ in India copying another micro-blogging website, Twitter, with slight modification.
Facebook’s newly launched feature will gradually be given to all but now the innovative could be used by only few users in the country, Times of India reported.
According to reports, Microsoft’s Q4 earnings, Rafael Nadal beating Roger Federer in the Australian Open final, and Justin Bieber getting out of jail are the top three trends on Facebook India.
The Facebook’s feature will also provide the reason of putting popular topics of the top trends which differentiates it from the Twitter while the topics would be based on locations and interests of users.
The company said it is testing the feature in its app for smartphones and tablet computers.
