LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s core committee met today and reaffirmed party’s position on the continuing terror attacks by the militants, terming the killing of innocent citizens and Pakistani soldiers as deteriorating hopes of peace via dialogues.
PTI principled position on dialogue was premised on the strong logic that one must divide the adversary so that those who are prepared to dialogue should be separated from the hardcore groups.
PTI’s Central Information Secretary Shireen Mazari, while addressing the press conference in Lahore today, said that the stance is also part of the party’s manifesto.
‘We cannot allow our military, whose soldiers have always laid down their lives for Pakistan, to be left isolated without political ownership. PTI has always recognized the tremendous sacrifices of its soldiers’, Mazari clarifed.
The core committee asked questioned the federal government as to what they have done for the last nine months after gaining rulership in the country and what efforts did they make to stop US drone strikes.
PTI’s top leadership demanded that an in-camera session and briefing should be given to all parties about the security situation and government must disclose all information about future military operations. In case of an operation, children and women should be evacuated.
