LAHORE: The Pakistan’s federal railway minister and prominent leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) on Tuesday warned the ‘secret persons’ with clear defeat who are having sympathy for former military ruler Pervez Musharraf.
PML-N’s federal minister Khawaja Saad Rafique clarified on behalf of the government that the ruling authroties will not provide any relief to Musharraf, ex-President of Pakistan who is facing treason trial nowadays, not place any deal in the case.
The statement was released during his press meeting in Lahore today; said that Pervez Musharraf is a culprit both in the eyes of nation and law and supremacy of rule needed for taking country in positive and developing directions.
He also placed a question without mentioning anyone’s name that if a Prime Minister can be sentenced by the court then why not a former president.
Railway Minister said that law is equal for everyone and no one has any exception.
He said that Pervez Musharraf should face the trial if he is really brave despite providing excuses of head and stomach aches.
Rafique rejected the expectation for sending Musharraf into any foreign country from medical treatment as its physical concerns can be tackled in Pakistan.
The federal minister reiterated that Pervez Musharraf was the person who approved moves of 12 October 1999 via parliament hence trail couldn’t be taken out over the issue.
However, Rafique claimed that the Pakistan Army’s reputation was majorly damaged by controversial decisions of the military dictation.
