MUMBAI: A Mumbai-based Indian couple have set worst example of torture on an underage 11-year-old house maid by enforcing her to eat chillies and applying it on sensitive body part.
The Indian couple, resident of Govind Nagar in Mira Road situated in famous Mumbai city of India, has been arrested on brutally torturing a minor girl by chillies and enforcing him to complete all work within short time.
The minor was forced to do menial household chores and take care of their 18-month-old daughter.
She was denied food and assaulted. The police said whenever she urinated during the assault out of fear and pain, the couple would insert chillies in her private parts and force her to eat them.
“The minor girl revealed the torture she had to face. She said whenever she cried, the couple increased the volume of the sound system and assaulted her if she did not complete the chores in time,” said a police official.
According to reports, the innocent girl was bought from Badaun area of Uttar Pradesh in Rs15,000 a year ago with promises before the girl’s parents for keeping care and education but acted contradictory after taking her to their home in Mumbai, Daily News & Analysis reported.
However, the residents of Govind Nagar in Mira Road (East) forced the minor to do menial household chores and take care of their 18-month-old daughter.
Her trauma ended when the neighbours got to know of the torture and complained to the police.
Indian Police Inspector Arun Nikam of the Mira Road police station said that the case had registered against the couple under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and Child Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act while Sarjil has been arrested and his wife is fled.
