Pakistan women on Sunday defeated South Africa by four wickets in their second game of the tri-nation series in Doha.
South Africa won the toss and chose to bat. Offspinner Nida Dar led the green shirts in restricting the proteas to 125 for 8, before Bismah Maroof anchored a close chase to help the side home by four wickets in the final over.
Dar picked up three wickets in four overs to have South Africa reeling at 40 for 4 by the 21st. They never recovered.
The win also ensured the team green a place in the final with the first South Africa-Ireland game having been washed out.
While they batted out their overs, the Pakistan bowlers held a tight rein on the scoring all through.
In the chase, Maroof, batting at No. 4, held till the end and helped her team to register win.
