LAHORE: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Sunday has expressed disappointment over his party-led KPK government on failure of rapid and reasonable response after killing of student Aitzaz Hassan.
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Sunday has expressed disappointment over KPK government as CM Pervez Khan Khattak and cabinet members did not go to Aitzaz Hassan’s residence for condolence soon after his death and for participation in funeral prayer.
Imran said PTI would continue blockade of NATO supply till the halting of drone strikes by US, adding that there is no terrorism in Punjab but the crime rate is increasing.
Talking to media after condoling killing of PTI leader Neelam Ashraf’s son here, Khan said that Hangu’s student Aitzaz Hasan set example of bravery and his party will support his family.
PTI chief said extremism was increasing in Punjab and whole Pakistan in the reaction of drone attacks.
Imran Khan said that the blockade of NATO supply line in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will continue till the halt of drone attacks.
Imran Khan said that his party will not compromise over the issue of supply line blockade.
He said that Pakistan would not isolate in world community in result of NATO supply blockade.
He said that the increase in the terrorism is the result of the hatred against US, adding that the drone strikes are increase hatred against US in Pakistanis.
He said that the drone strikes are causing increase of terrorism in Pakistan. He said former US envoy to Pakistan N W Patterson had also termed drone strikes as counterproductive.
To a question‚ he highly appreciated the great sacrifice rendered by the young Aitzaz Hassan at Hangu‚ to save a large number of people from a terrorist attack. Imran Khan said PTI is going to set up a fund and will fully support the family of Aitzaz Hassan.
He expressed dissatisfaction over the attitude of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government leadership for not visiting and consoling the bereaved family.
Imran said he was proud of the teenager’s martyrdom and that he was a national hero.
He said it was sad that the provincial government failed to reach the young boy’s family.
On the occasion, Imran announced that his party will cooperate with Hasan’s family and take care of their expenses. The PTI chairperson also announced the establishment of Aitizaz Hasan Fund.
Imran khan said the police SSP Tariq Aziz has termed the killing of Neelum yousuf’s son as suicide, adding the son of Neelum was attacked when he was talking to his fiance over telephone. He demanded of the chief minister Punjab to suspend Tariq Aziz for terming the death of Neelum’s son as suicide prior to the autopsy. He said that the Punjab police have become poeticized.
He said five PTI workers along with former candidate of provincial assembly Masood Bhatti was killed in Kasur on Saturday. He said that there is no terrorism in Punjab but the crime rate is increasing in the province. He said during one past year 171 terrorist attacks were carried out KPK and only 101 attacks were recorded in whole country.
