PESHAWAR: National Jirga organised by umbrella coalition of more than 40 Pakistani political and religious parties, Difa-e-Pakistan Council (DPC), urged the federal government to permit the air force for targeting US drones.
Difa-e-Pakistan Council have organised high-level session comprising of leaders of coalition parties and approved several resolutions seeking special decision from the Pakistani federal government on the national and international affairs.
Maulana Samiul Haq (Chief DFC), Liaquat Baloch (JI), Hafiq Muhammad Saeed (Jamat-ud-Dawa), and Siraj ul Haq (JI’s Senior Minister in KPK) are the mainstream leaders seen as the participants of the session organised in Al-Markaz ul Islami at Peshawar.
The council approved the resolution for downing the US spy planes entering in the territory of Pakistan through issuance of permission to the Pakistan Air Force (PAF).
Resolution for stoppage of US drone attacks and NATO supply line was approved in the high-level session and pressed the coalition partners of the council to fasten the ongoing campaign across the country.
Ongoing sit-ins for blocking the NATO supplies from different spots of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province were highly praised by the council’s leadership.
Besides the major issues, the council approved several other resolution in the session in light of the current regional and internal situations as well as the country’s foreign policy.
‘Foreign policies must be reformed in accordance to the national ambitions,’, resolution approved.
‘Military operation in the tribal areas should be closed immediately and all the problem must be resolved via talks while Pakistan have to come out from the so-called War against Terrorist’, a resolution demanded.
‘The neighbouring country, India, should not be given the Most Favourite Nation (MFN) status,’ another resolution approved by DPC.
The council announced to organise a prestigious conference for expressing unification with Kashimiris on February 4 while Kashmir Day will be celebrated on large-scale across the country on February 5.
The participants strongly condemned the life sentence of Bangladesh’s Jamaat-e-Islami leader Abdul Qadir Mola as termed it as the political revengous move the Bangladeshi government.
