Islamabad: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Thursday appointed ambassadors to India, Belgium and Germany according to seniority basis.
According to reports, the PM appointed Abdul Basit as Pakistan’s High Commissioner to India. Early it was suggested to appoint Abdul Basit as Foreign Secretary but the PM decided to appoint him as High Commissioner due to his experience.
Whereas Naghmana Hashmi has been appointed as the country’s Ambassador to Belgium and Syed Javed Hassan as Ambassador to Germany.
