PESHAWAR: The Peshawar High Court has called for blocking all illegal SIMS within two days.
The court has also asked the relevant authorities including Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and Telecoms to submit record all the illegal SIMS issued during last five years.
Such SIMS, being sold unchecked across the country, have been playing an instrumental role in spread of crimes especially kidnapping, extortion and cyber crimes.
Telecoms, who earn millions of rupees with such SIMS, have always turned a deaf ear to orders of the court so far.
Besides, the high court has asked the law enforcing agencies to submit the data of all persons abducted within last five years.
