Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah on Monday said the government wanted to hold local bodies (LB) elections in March, however, the final decision will be taken by Election Commission.
Talking to media, the CM said that it was difficult for the provincial government to hold LB elections on January 18 because the government has not completed its preparation.
Shah said that everyone wants peace in Karachi and police and law-enforcement agencies trying to maintain law and order situation. But the problem of the city intensified and it took time to be removed.
“The government does not have a magic wand to make sure peace in the city in one or two day”, he added.
