Lahore: Latest development regarding money laundering case in which the Metropolitan Police had arrested two people from West London involving the Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM), raised lots of questions about the future of the MQM.
Senior anchor Najam Sethi, in his latest program said that hard times are ahead for Altaf Hussain and its party.
Najam Sethi discussed that there were three simultaneous investigations going on against Altaf Hussain by London Metropolitan Police in Imran Farooq murder case, money laundering case and hate speech which he delivered during and after general elections.
Sethi said that party members were fearful due to the ongoing case and he also predicted that around 30 to 40 members of the party has decided to leave the party anytime.
He further said that those who ready to leave the party most probably would make further groups like MQM (Haqeeqi) which would cause heavy dent to the party.
The cases against Altaf Hussain are on and it seems that the noose is going to tighten in days to com”, he added.
He said on a query regarding Karachi, the analyst said that the main war would be fought in the metropolitan where party has been distributed between Amir Khan group and Rauf Siddique group.
He said that militant wing now work on the orders of the Amir Khan and this was the main reason behind the resignation of Mustafa Kamal and Anis Qaimkhani.
He further said that next few weeks will be proved toughest for the MQM and its chief Altaf Hussain.
