Lahore: A petition has been filed in the Lahore High Court (LHC) to celebrate independence day of Pakistan on 27 Ramazan instead of August 14.
The petitioner has raised the issue that Pakistan got independence on 27 Ramazan and as an Islamic country we should give importance to Islamic date.
He has the point that celebration on 27 Ramazan created harmony among the muslims.
The LHC observed that this was the federal matter and only federal government could take decision regarding this.
And the LHC also forwarded this petition to the Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for further action.
