ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), has initiated large-scale investigations under supervision of Additional General Ghalib Bandesha regarding assets’ inspection of its 66 officers on higher posts.
Special investigation committee led by Additional General Ghalib Bandesha would start thorough probe in assets of 66 officers hodling grade-17 and upper grades, sources said.
The under investigation officers has been removed from their posts till the completion of enquiry sessions as well as handed over the charge of the vacant seats to other officials, internal sources said.
The departmental authorities have asked them for providing their complete details of assets and resources while the officers could not be transferred and appointed until end of enquiry.
The move was taken for making the enquiry session transparent.
It should be mentioned that significant actions has been taken in Ministry of Interior and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) for eradication of corruption in the prominent national departments.
Interior Ministry had formed two-member committee headed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB)’s senior official and FIA’s Director Immigration, Dr. Usman Anwar, for preparing detailed reports and recommendation to the higher authorities.
