NOWSHERA: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Ameer, Maulana Samiul Haq has said that the US drone strike on the Hangu seminary is tantamount to the strike on the federal capital, Islamabad.
Addressing a rally staged against the US drone strikes and the Nato supply here on Friday, Maulana Samiul Haq said that now the US has challenged Pakistan and the rulers should dare to block the Nato supply and retaliate to the US drone strikes.
He said that the government should give legal shape to the code of conduct prepared by the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam in 1995 for ending the sectarian tension.
He said that the rulers are asleep, saying that the US has started targeting mosques and seminaries in the Pakistani cities after striking the tribal areas.
He said that instead of becoming an example of disrespect, the rulers should show courage and should announce to block the NATO supply.
He said that US has said that it can target any city in Pakistani. He said that there has been the sectarian fire under the US conspiracy and on the other hand Pakistani cities are being targeted.
He said that all this is because of failure in dialogue with the Taliban. He said that one Mujahid leader was martyred at Bhara Kaho in Islamabad, saying that another Karabala was staged on Muharram 10 in Rawalpindi and now seminary was targeted in Hangu and innocent students and Ulema were martyred.
He further said that now it has become clear that Pakistan is the actual target of US instead of Afghanistan, saying that as to why the Pakistani rulers have become silent spectators as to whether they would leave the masses at the disposal of the US bombing or would show courage and bravery.
He said that the test of the rulers has begun and the rulers should make their position clear after the Hangu drone strike.
He said that the rulers should immediately start dialogues with the Taliban instead of taking any credit. He said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam would join PTI for staging sit-in for blocking the Nato supply.
