Islamabad: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif directed that Pakistan Telecommunications Authority (PTA) must ensure transparency in the spectrum auction process.
He issued these directions while chairing a meeting to review grey traffic monitoring and status of telecom spectrum auction here.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Finance Ishaq Dar, Minister of State for Information Technology Anusha Rehman, Secretary Information Technology Division and Chairman PTA.
Anusha Rehman briefed the Prime Minister regarding monitoring mechanism to check grey traffic and the latest status of spectrum auction being processed by PTA.
The Prime Minister directed that the process of spectrum auction should be completely transparent. He further directed that strict action should be taken against those involved in the practice of grey traffic.
