MUMBAI: Sachin Tendulkar’s 24 year career ends as India wins second test match against West Indies. He scored 74 in the first innings but couldn’t have a chance to bat in the second innings.
One of the greatest batsman Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar’s career comes to a close. He officially started his cricketing cricketer at the age of 16 against arch rivals Pakistan in Karachi.
He was the first ever cricketer to score a double century in ODIs and has bagged 34,000 runs. He also holds a record for most centuries (100 centuries). In all forms of the game he managed to score aggregate of 50,000 runs.
In his 24 year illustrious career, the way he performed, he never looked back. In his last match Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium Mumbai, he said that his father always said that he must go for dreams but never opt for shortcuts.
His family always supported him and that is what had turned out to be the biggest asset for him. He said he was proud to start his career in Mumbai and end it on a high note in same place.
India beat West Indies in the second test by an innings and one hundred and twenty-six runs in Mumbai‚ winning the two-match series two-nil‚ today.
