Washington: After leaked images of HTC One’s successor, HTC M8 now specs of the device leaked.
The reports claims that the new device of HTC will make its appearance in the first quarter of the coming year. The HTC One is one of the most popular device that company had ever produced.
We’re at the time of year when we’re going to see leaked images, specs, etc. of some of our favorite Android smartphones.
The first to leak is none other than HTC’s follow up to the very successful HTC One. The specs of the device codenamed HTC M8 have appeared online and if the details are accurate, it will be a nice upgrade.
Since these are the first images and reported specs, take all of this with a huge grain of salt. As a reminder, the HTC One was codenamed the HTC M7, and it appears the company is sticking with the same naming convention with the HTC M8. The reports claims that the device will be launched at Mobile World Congress 2014 in Barcelona, Spain, at the end of February.
The HTC M8 will retain the HTC One’s extremely popular aluminum unibody design and, according to the site “metal texture is more intense.” The HTC One successor will also be the first HTC smartphone to run the company’s HTC Sense 6.0 interface. It will reportedly have a larger display than the HTC One and will be somewhere between 5-5.2-inches and run Android 4.4x KitKat. The smartphone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor (an exact clock speed wasn’t specified) and HTC will ship the M8 with 3GB of RAM.
The images also indicate that the HTC M8 will be much thinner than the HTC One and will use an improved camera. The site claims that the holes on the back of the case are very likely for its built in fingerprint scanner, very similar to the HTC One Max’s biometric reader.
As previously mentioned, the HTC M8 will reportedly see its official launch at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2014. HTC officially announced the HTC One at the 2013 tradeshow, where it also took top honors and was named “Best Phone” and “Best in Show”. We’ll have to wait and see if HTC can pull off that same kind of magic in 2014. Again, take these specs with a big grain of salt for now.
