KARACHI: Pakistan Cricket Team manager and former wicket keeper batsman Moin Khan has been stuck in a triple role. Besides performing his duties on the managerial front, he is also playing role of batting and wicket keeping coach, reports Jahan e Pakistan.
Moin Khan who was appointed as manager for Pakistan Cricket Team, he is also temporarily playing the role of batting as well as wicket keeping coach. In a practice session, after defeat in the first one day International (ODI), the ex. wicket keeper jumped into the scene giving useful tips to the batsmen and wicket keeper.
Pakistan has played two of the five match series vs. the Proteas; the second match featured a better batting performance from the Green Shirts. Moin Khan was also seen umpiring in the practice session of third ODI.
Moin Khan played 69 tests in which he scored 2741runs at an average of 28.55 and 219 ODIs 3266 runs at average of 23.00. During the practice session he gave tips of wicket keeping for Sarfaraz Ahmad and Umar Akmal.
It was also reported that Pakistani team had reservations with their manager Moin Khan. However, with such a contribution, the ex. wicket keeper batsman was able to break the ice with his players.
During the 90s era, there was a head on competition of Moin Khan with Rashid Latif who was also known for his wicket keeping skills.
