KARACHI: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Thursday has ordered removing the inactive officers from security agencies including Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (MSA), Coast Guards, Anti Narcotics Force (ANF).
Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry said, ‘Whoever failed to comply his duties should be removed.’ He added, ‘Why you are playing with the country?’
CJ Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry was heading the larger bench hearing the Karachi lawlessness case in the Karachi registry of the Supreme Court.
CJ Iftikhar M. Chaudhry rejected the reports presented to the apex court by different security agencies during the hearing.
CJP expressed outrage over the security agencies, he said that the authorities explained the legalities in the reports but there was no description of action taken against the crimes.
The apex court asked the Chairman Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to present complete report about the records of weapons’ import during last three years.
