ISLAMABAD: The Awami National Party (ANP) has suspended the party membership of its prominent leader, Azam Hoti, and demanded the Election Commission Pakistan (ECP) for his termination of his senatorship.
Top leadership of the political party has demanded the highest electoral board of the country, ECP, for termination of Azam Hoti’s senate membership in accordance to the request sent by the ANP.
Vice President ANP, Haji Adeel said that ECP should decide to remove Hoti from the senate’s seat as the party sent intimation regarding the cancellation of his party membership, local media reported.
It should be mentioned that Senator Azam Hoti facing the consequences on several allegations placed over ANP chief Asfandyar Wali and Afrasiab Khattak for selling the blood of the Pakhtuns in US dollars.
Moreover, Hoti also threatened for revealing the personal life and affairs of Asfandyar Wali as the ANP chief tried to turn a political issue into a personal one by placing a rifle on the shoulder of his son to fire.
While stating the party strategy over yesterday’s statement given by the interior minister Chaudhry Nisar, Haji Adeel said that opposition would take strict decision if Nisar don’t apologises on his behaviour in senate session.
The ANP vice chairman alleged that the federal government is not serious for continuing the senate session as they are not in majority in the house.
