ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has challenged the appointment of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) chairperson’s appointment in the Supreme Court (SC) of Pakistan on Tuesday.
Imran Khan filed plea in the SC today for challenging the appointment on NAB’s top post, which currently handed over to Qamar Zaman Chaudhry, and requested for its annulment.
The request provided the stance that the appointment was followed by an illegal procedure.
It should be mentioned that Qamar Zaman Chaudhry was appointed on the NAB’s chairman post on October 10 in accordance to the notification released by the Pakistan’s law ministry after consensus made between the federal government and opposition leader of the country.
However, PTI protested over the appointment on the same date; claiming that no consultation was taken by their political party.
