ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan has signalled for supporting military operation against the militants’ groups on the condition of failure in dialogue process.
Imran Khan conditionally agreed for weaponry action against banned outfits of Pakistan, whereas, he clarified that Taliban placed no condition for commencement of talks except stoppage of US drone attacks.
While being interviewed by the Indian media, Khan strongly support dialogue process with Taliban and urged the establishment of peace via talks as it is the only way.
He added that the Taliban’s ceasefire is restricted with the closure of US drone strikes in tribal areas of Pakistan while he termed the recent bomb attacks as the destructive moves for the upcoming process by some elements.
Imran Khan threatened that the NATO supply for the US army in Afghanistan will be closed if drone attacks carried out during the negotiation periods.
The PTI chief said that the sincerity of specific Taliban groups for peace establishment would come into knowledge after the initiation of dialogues process.
