KABUL: Taliban chief Mullah Mohammad Omar appealed the Afghanistan locals not to support and taking part in upcoming Presidential Election scheduled in next year.
Central leader of Afghan Taliban Maulana Abdul Aziz, while being interviewed with American media, conveyed the top leader’s message to the nation.
Abdul Aziz said that the Afghanistan being captivated by the outsiders due to influence of few traitors but they are ready to fight for long in order to get freedom from US domination.
He said that killing Muslims and innocent persons are against the Islamic principles.
The central leader told the media that the presidential election in Afghanistan is nothing more than a dramatic play in which neither Taliban will take part nor any other militant group.
The Taliban’s prominent leader added that a campaign against presidential election has been commenced following directions of central leadership while he expressed his favourable expectations from the recent drive.
Afghanistan’s Presidential election is expected to be held on April 5 of next year while the current President, Hamid Karzai, will not run due to limitation of terms.
According to governmental sources, the registration period for nominations was initiated on September 16 September and completed on October 6.
