PESHAWAR: A grand meeting of all Provincial Management Services Officers (PMS) of the govt of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was held at Pearl Continental Peshawar wherein welfare body under the name of PMS Officers Association was formed.
The meeting was attended by the senior officers of Provincial Govt of the Executive and Secretariat Group. The officers get together was of profound importance since it was held in wake of the merger of PCS Secretariat Group 2002, 2005 and 2006 batches in the PMS.
The senior officers of the PCS welcomed this good development and threw light on the historical development of the provincial civil services. The challenges ahead were deliberated by the President of Pakistan Provincial Civil servants Mr. Khalid Khan Umerzai.
He advised the officers to join hands and unite together for the glorious future that awaits the PMS Officers. Shafeerullah Wazir appraised the gathering about the evolution of the PMS out of PCS Secretariat and executive cadres.
On this occasion the provincial cabinet and executive body of the association was nominated. Fayaz Ali Shah was nominated caretaker president of the association and tasked him to register the officers’ body at the earliest.
The forum was also addressed by Afaq Ahmad, Tahir Orakzai, Roshan Mehsud and others. It was unanimously decided that the concerns of all the officers will be fully addressed and catered for.
DC Peshawar Zaheerul Islam shared his valuable experience and wished PMS Officers good luck in its future endeavors of rendering selfless services, employing hard work and honest means for the betterment of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and serving the masses devotedly.
