ISLAMABAD: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazal (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazal ur Rehman, over his return from Afghanistan visit, claimed that the Afghan President Hamid Karzai has announced to free all Pakistani prisoners.
JUI-F chief Fazal-ur-Rehman was talking to media on his return from Afghanistan visit where he met Afghanistan’s President Hamid Karzai on special invitation.
While answering to a question during press conference in Islamabad, JUI-F chief said that Taliban are not disappointed on his Afghanistan visit.
He added, “Our hearts beat with Taliban, we are not able to gain confidence of each other due to absence of link.”
Fazal-ur-Rehman claimed, ‘We get significant goals in only 3 days which the Pakistani government failed to gain in past 8 years via diplomacy, however, now the ball is in government’s court whether he take advantage or not.”
The politico-religious leader also claimed that the Afghanistan’s President told him to release all Pakistani prisoners. He urged the Pakistan’s government to play their role as the issue is national.
He unveiled the meeting contents shortly during the press conference; JUI-F chief said that various regional and especially internal issues of Afghanistan were discussed during the meeting with Karzai as well as matter of holding negotiations with Taliban also the part of meeting but right now he cannot reveal the full details.
Maulana Fazal-ur-Rehman clarified that his political party completely support dialogues between US and Taliban while Pakistan would play visible part in the process.
He added that consensus would only be made via negotiations as the deteriorating situations could be resolved through wars.
