New York: As Nokia gears up to introduce its highly anticipated first-ever phablet Nokia Lumia 1520, another image leaked of company’s upcoming phablet
Nokia is already preparing for its October 22 event. The rumors of Nokia Lumia 1520 phablet have been for months, and the device have lead several times.
The smartphone, dubbed “Bandit,” is expected to tout the GDR3 u[date and has now leaked in a red avatar yet again.
The leaked image is courtesy of noted tipster @evleaks, who took to his Twitter account on Oct. 4 to reveal the Lumia 1520 donning a red hue.
This, however, is not the first time the Lumia 1520 has leaked online. In August, the smartphone popped up in a red avatar online, side-by-side the Lumia 1020, giving us a peek into what the device would look like.
In September, we also reported that the Lumia 929, which is believed to be the Verizon variant of the upcoming Lumia 1520, had leaked online.
Previously, @evleaks has also revealed that the Lumia 1520 will launch alongside the Sirius phablet at Nokia’s event.
“Look for Nokia Sirius to launch alongside Bandit next month,” tweeted @evleaks at the time.
Rumors have been rife that Nokia is prepping to launch six new devices at its Innovation Reinvented event on Oct. 22, which include the Lumia 1520 and the Lumia 2520 or the Sirius tablet.
The Lumia 1520 is expected to feature a 6-inch 1080p display and FHD resolution. The smartphone is also believed to pack in GDR3 and could be an AT&T exclusive in the U.S., whereas the Verizon variant is speculated to be called the Lumia 929.
The Lumia 1520 is also expected to house a quad-core Snapdragon 800 proccessor and have 32GB of on-board storage. The phablet will likely boast a 20-megapixel PureView primary camera and pack in a massive 3,400 battery to power the top-end smartphone.
The Lumia 1520 is also expected to come in four hues – red, black, white and yellow. As far as pricing is concerned, the phablet is expected to retail for $700 off-contract.
With Oct. 22 just around the corner, we will soon know what Nokia pulls out of the hat.A
