KARACHI: Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah has said Karachi operation started with the consultation of all political parties and public expressed confidence in Karachi operation, The News Tribe reported on Saturday.
Talking to media, CM Sindh said the first priority of Sindh government is to hold the target killers, kidnappers, extortionists and others who were involved in serious crimes in city.
He said police and rangers are doing all possible measures to restore peace in Karachi and DG rangers send him the operation reports after every 12 hours.
Chief Minister of Sindh said at least 2269 accused have been arrested during 1619 search operations till the evening of (Saturday) today, in which 16 extortionists, drug peddlers and 555 criminals arrested in different crime cases.
He said 18 accused were killed in 118 operations and rangers arrested 406 criminals in 143 search operations in different areas of Karachi.
He said all political parties, citizen and businessmen have expressed their confidence in latest Karachi operation. He said 25% peace has been restored in Karachi after latest operation by rangers and police.
He added that it would take time to restore 100% peace in Karachi.
