QUETTA: Balochistan Law and Order case under 3 member bench under the supervision of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
The hearing started with Chief Justice asking about IG FC and IG Police who were not available. In response, CJ said that they should have been present because everyone knew that the bench would be hearing the case.
Chief Justice was furious over the absence of both IGs and remarked that we want people, we haven’t come here to stare on faces. No one cares about being present in the court, we want to hear from IG, he must be present no matter how.
In response, Justice Azmat remarked that things are continuously repeating which gives indication that something is wrong. He further added that FC IG is in Khuzdar. In reply, CJ remarked that he must be brought to court no matter how. He must be present at any cost rather than giving bad name to the forces.
“We are here to listen to the problems of the people. We issue orders for IG’s presence and then he will not only be here but also bring people with him. If our decisions are not implemented then it is better that we must go home. Is there any benefit of coming here? What answer will we give to the public and most probably to people who want their loved ones back?”
